This course is designed to provide a detailed understanding of security protocols during materials handling at port facilities, with a focus on the International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS) Code. Participants will gain practical knowledge on securing various types of cargo, personal items, and delivery materials entering and leaving port facilities, while preventing unauthorized access and identifying suspicious items.

The course emphasizes the role of security personnel in screening, detection, and response to potential security threats as outlined in the Port Facility Security Plan (PFSP). Key procedures covered include access control, secure handling of goods, tenant-specific security protocols, and incident response during material handling operations. Scenarios will simulate real-life situations to reinforce best practices for identifying and addressing security risks.
