Security Incident Investigation, Reporting and Documentation

This course provides practical, port-specific training on the identification, reporting, investigation, and documentation of security incidents in accordance with International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS) Code requirements. Participants will gain a clear understanding of what constitutes a security incident within a port environment, including unauthorized access, suspicious activities, cargo tampering, and potential threats to vessels, personnel, and infrastructure.

The course emphasizes the importance of timely and accurate reporting, structured investigation processes, and maintaining clear, factual, and compliant documentation. Through real-life scenarios and group exercises, participants will develop the skills needed to assess risks, take immediate action, follow proper reporting channels, and conduct basic incident investigations.

By the end of the training, participants will be better equipped to contribute to a proactive security culture at the Port of Big Creek, ensuring that small irregularities are identified and addressed before they escalate into serious security threats.
